テキスト ボックス: 2. Project Outputs
The objective of the project is to enhance the capacity of environmental monitoring system in Pakistan in anticipation of conduction of appropriated environmental administration by the results of this project ultimately. To reach this goal, there are following 5 (five) outputs.
1) Output 1: Planning
Pak-EPA and Provincial EPAs are capable of formulating Environmental monitoring plans.
2) Output 2: Analyzing
Pak-EPA and Provincial EPAs are capable of measuring all the parameters of National Environmental Quality Standards (NEQS) based on uniform methodologies of sampling measurements and analysis.
3) Output 3: Obtaining Accuracy
Laboratory management system is improved and Quality Assurance /Quality Control (QA/QC) system is established in Pak-EPA and Provincial EPAs.
4) Output 4: Interpreting
Pak-EPA and Provincial EPAs are capable of interpreting and evaluating monitoring data based on the internationally recognized environmental standards/ NEQS.
5) Output 5: Presenting Results
Based on the Pakistan nationwide environment data management system, Pak-EPA and Provincial EPAs are capable of compiling monitoring data and disseminating to the public.

Stationary source monitoring can investigate influence of emission gas from factories and exhaust gas from vehicles by using the procured equipment. The following are the various objects to monitor stack gas, various air sampler and so on.
Stack gas analyzer: To measure stack gas including NOX, SO2, O2, CO and CO2 at the measuring hole of stacks.
Dust measuring unit: To be used with above stack gas analyzer by measuring dust in the stack gas.
Air sampler:	To be used with 3 kinds of air samplers such as high volume air sampler, low volume air sampler and particle grading air sampler. It can measure suspended particulate matter (SPM) based on international method.
Impinger gas sampling unit: 9 sets the equipment are procured for each EPA, and it can measure air quality such as NOX, SO2 etc.
Monitoring vehicle: The vehicle can transport the procured equipment such as stack gas monitor, air sampler and various equipment.
3) Water Quality Monitoring
The water quality monitoring is to measure water body quality, factory effluent and household effluent.
The Project provides with atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS), Gas chromatography (GC), Ion chromatography (IC), pH meter and much equipment for analysis of COD, BOD, coliform and so on to each EPA.
The main parameters that can be measured are shown in the table below.
Category	Main parameters	Remark
General category organic pollution	Flow rate, pH, DO, Turbidity, COD, BOD, Coliform, etc.	Influence to appearance, clarity and smell etc in water.
Heavy metals	Ni, Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn, Mn, Cr, Hg, As, Ag, Se, Be, Fe, Al, B	High intake of heavy metals may influence for human health.
It is possible to understand the degrees of influence that effluents from factories or domestic wastewater are causing to water quality in environment by continuous water quality monitoring.
